DCVB Partners with Local Business on New Door County Branded Merchandise

The Door County Visitor Bureau (DCVB) was looking to advance the Door County brand and promote Door County, Wisconsin through logo items when it shopped local and selected one of its members to represent the county.

DCVB chose Ad Quest Promotions, Inc. to exclusively produce and wholesale logo wearables and logo items to other DCVB members for sale in the county and on the DCVB online store. A portion of the DCVB tagline, “Like nowhere else,” may be used on some selected items. Initially, the DCVB and Ad Quest Promotions selected:

  • a pigment dyed unisex t-shirt,
  • pigment dyed youth t-shirt,
  • a denim shirt,
  • a baseball cap,
  • a fleece jacket,
  • a coaster,
  • and a license plate holder.

The 2011 Door County Wisconsin collection eventually resulted in 15 items identified as targeted logo items. They will be sold through local DCVB member retailers and online through the DCVB online store. Most should be available in June, prior to the beginning of the busy summer season.

The three year agreement provides for a small revenue share for the DCVB to reinvest into marketing efforts for the county. “The main focus of this initiative is to advance the brand of Door County to our residents and visitors to proudly wear our logo when they travel or return home,” said Mary Denis, director of marketing and sales at the DCVB. “In addition, this gives our members the opportunity to sell merchandise with the Door County, Wisconsin logo in their stores.”

Ad Quest Promotions was selected by the DCVB as the only one of their members who specializes in promotional items and is known for their reputation for representing high quality merchandise, screening and embroidering. In addition, Ad Quest Promotions will handle storage of the items and fulfillment of all orders on the DCVB online store. The DCVB online store is currently being rebuilt to give the site enhanced shopping features.
