Jeannie Kuhns and Lost Mothra Upcoming in Woodwalk Concert Series, July 8

Weaver of mystical lyrics and intriguing musical patterns, Jeanne Kuhns creates a personal tapestry of bluesy, jazz, folded into her own distinctly personal flavor of original and progressive folk ballads.

“She is sonically and stylistically something of a mix of Laura Nyro, Joni Mitchell and an acoustically inclined Bonnie Raitt,” says Crow and Wolf Music.

Two years ago, guitarist George Sawyn and bassist Patrick Palmer joined with Kuhns – all very excited to be coming together in the singer/songwriter band, Lost Mothra! The combination of Kuhns unforgettable vocal ability to emotionally connect with audiences coupled with all around excellent musicianship, a repertoire of primarily original songs plus a few unexpected eclectic covers and you have the Lost Mothra experience!

In 2008, Jeanne Kuhns was voted “Best Female Musician” by Door County Magazine readers. She originally launched and oversees the Woodwalk Concert Series. Sawyn a veteran of the Chicago music scene for thirty years, brings his exceptional and versatile abilities on the acoustic and electric guitars, bringing strong jazz and stunning classical style influences to the musical arrangements. Patrick Palmer plays upright and electric bass and guides the group rhythmically with his imaginative bass lines. The trio offer up three-part harmonies in addition to Kuhns solo singing.
