Door County local, Ben has been music in different musical configurations since 1976! He learned quickly how to play guitar in the “Heritage Ensemble” (now called the “American Folklore Theater”) and performed 2 summers in Peninsula State Park. Joining his friends Michael Raye, and Bob Starr he performed with “Fresco,” “The Johnson’s” and “The Works” and more recently with Dan Mayhew in “Ben There Dan That” from 2007-2013. He donates his time to entertain residents at Pine Crest retirement home and the Dorchester’s “Rock N’ Roll” festival where clients rock in their rocking chairs, and roll in wheel chairs! Ben’s solo performance is split between sweet love songs, and funny, quirky, and even odd songs collected over the years. His favorite’s are by Loudon Wainwright III, Keb Mo, John Prine, and of course James Taylor!
