Underage drinking is typically a major concern in most rural communities… because drinking usually includes driving.
To further investigate the issue in a forum setting, the Door County Alcohol and Other Drug Coalition will host a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, April 8, at the Jacksonport Community Center (3365 County Road V). Starting at 6 pm with snacks, The program will run from 6:30 – 8 pm. The focus will explore Door County Youth alcohol consumption and will include some of the latest findings in brain-alcohol research. Other areas of risk involved with underage alcohol use will also be discussed.
The program will include a panel of high school students who will discuss questions about alcohol use, their own concerns and trends they are witnessing among their peers.
Any teen attending can register in a raffle to win an iPod. For further information or questions, please contact the Coalition Coordinator, Amy Bremel at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 920.868.2783.
