AB 138, the bill to restore the Independent DNR Secretary has now been approved by the WI Senate and waits on Governor Doyle’s desk.
He has a choice. He can sign the Independent DNR Secretary bill and leave a strong conservation legacy, maintain his integrity with voters, and respect the will of the people or he can veto the bill as he threatened to do last week.
The Wisconsin League of Conservation Voters says, “Please, call Governor Doyle (608.266.1212) and urge him to make good on his promise to sign the Independent DNR Secretary bill (AB138) into law.”
