Jazz for Peace Highlights Door County Renaissance Faire Benefit Concert, Sept 30

Legendary Jazz Artist Rick DellaRatta will be in Sturgeon Bay to donate his time and talents to raise funds for Door County Renaissance Development Group in a benefit concert taking place at the Oasis Center of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1756 Michigan Street , Sturgeon Bay , WI on Friday, September 30 at 6 pm.

Door County residents and visitors are invited to be a part of this outstanding and wonderful fundraising musical celebration to help insure the ongoing success of the Renaissance Development Group, a local charity that hosts the annual Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire.

In 2002 Rick DellaRatta and Jazz for Peace performed at the United Nations in New York City. He led a band consisting of Israeli, Palestinian and American musicians in concert for an international audience in what is now considered by world leaders ranging from the President of the United States to the Prime Minister of Kenya to be “One of the most significant cultural events of our time!”

Since then Rick and Jazz for Peace have gone on to raise funds, publicity and awareness for over 800 outstanding causes. These concerts have been attended and enjoyed by presidents, mayors, ambassadors, celebrities, humanitarians, and of course music lover’s of all ages and nationalities world wide.

Advance ticket prices are $25 for the general public and $35 at the door. A limited number of free VIP tickets are available thanks to the following Door County business sponsors: Door County Realty, Welcome Home Realty, W.E. Construction, Village Green Lodge, Peninsula Vision Care, Peninsula Jeweler, Spa Verde and Sandra Stetler LMT. These tickets will go to qualifying underprivileged youth, students, seniors or adults who are undergoing financial hardship and would otherwise be unable to attend this outstanding social and cultural event.

The Renaissance Development Group is a not-for-profit organization that has developed the Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire as an annual event since 2010. This family-friendly festival benefits Door County in many ways. It is designed to draw new business to the area and to support the existing tourism industry and is loved equally by locals and visitors alike. From the opening gate show to the final “HUZZAH!” fans of history or fans of fantasy, young and old alike are sure to find something to enjoy at the Renaissance Fantasy Faire.
