Bio: Husband and wife Josh and Gwen Gregory came from very different musical backgrounds. Gwen is a classically trained flutist who has played for both the UW Eau Claire orchestra and Edgewood College chamber orchestra. Josh is a rock, blues, and jazz pianist who has played in local bands Little Marsh Overflow and The Off Season and who has also sat in regularly with local favorites The Nicks and The Johnson Project. In 2012, after nearly 10 years together but having never played music with each other, Josh needed to put an act together on roughly 6 hours’ notice for the set break during the Fishstock Concert Series in Fish Creek, WI. His usual musical partner had come down ill. Not wanting to cancel the gig, Gwen offered to play with him and they settled on a genre of music that they both have a love for, Celtic music. They both had a lot of fun playing music together that night and deemed that impromptu performance a success. Since then they have played throughout Door County at weddings, restaurants, special retail events, and community events such as Sturgeon Bay’s Fine Art Fair. The more they play together, the larger their repertoire has expanded from Celtic music to include pop and jazz standards with artists ranging from The Beatles and Ray Charles to John Denver and the Muppets.

Always looking for more opportunities to play music together, they are available for hire at your next event!

Professor, Pastor and Author Bruce H. Joffe, Ph.D., believes that God’s love is experienced transformationally—through compassion shown to others and social justice for all.

With a Christian orientation and doctorate in communication, Pastor Bruce Joffe is ordained by the International Council of Community Churches, the Progressive Christian Alliance, and the Unitarian Emerging Christian Church. He requests time to meet and get to know couples who are planning a marriage before conducting the wedding service.

“You can’t box God up in religion. You can’t box Jesus up in Christianity. You can’t box church up in a building. You can’t box faith up in a set of beliefs. You can’t box grace up in conditions. The Kingdom of God isn’t boxed up in our churches. Imagine church without pulpits or pews, creeds or confessionals-no membership, plate-passing, pledges, vestments, heavenly choirs, or altar calls. Without buildings to maintain or staff to sustain, the church no longer is seen as a private club or guilt-trip haven to heaven. Instead, its focus is on caring and sharing, living here-and-now, not in the hereafter. Rather than part of our worldly empires, the church has become their antithesis. From guts to glory, the church begets reform.” – My Name Is Heretic: Reforming the Church, from Guts to Glory (Paperback – November 21, 2015 by Bruce H. Joffe)
