Gustave’s Getaway is a completely restored historic Door County log cabin that is situated on 80 acres of its original farmstead.
This Door County log cabin was built in 1887 by Annie Miller’s great grandfather using timber native to Door County. It has been home to four generations of Millers. Located on a quiet country road, it is centrally located to the northern Door County communities of Baileys Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Fish Creek and minutes from the shores of Green Bay and Lake Michigan.
The Miller family invites you to step back in time to enjoy Door County’s historic past first hand. Our historic home sleeps 6, has full cooking facilities, and all linens are supplied. Our country estate beckons you to its old growth forest trails, flowered meadows, rolling hills and abundance of wildlife. Open year round, you are one with the fall colors, breathtaking sunrises and sets, Northern lights, and jeweled winter beauty.
A short distance away, Carl’s at the Farm accommodates up to 10 adults, and was completely renovated this past year. The home, features modern conveniences that guests expect while maintaining its rustic country character.

Woodwalk Gallery features a soaring setting that is centered in an 1890’s revitalized Door County barn. It houses an art gallery and a reception hall, located in a quiet setting, ¾ mile off the main Highway 42, north of Carlsville. They offer a unique, Door County experience to be found almost nowhere else consistent with an effort to provide “the essence of Door County in an historic setting.”
Celebrate your wedding in the setting of a historic barn and its surrounding, natural, scenic landscapes. With many options for your ceremony outdoors or in, dinner in the barn or under a tent adjacent to the barn, Woodwalk is a canvas waiting for you to personalize it. They can accommodate groups up to 250+ and include the ambience of a regionally recognized art gallery as part of the glow. There are also spaces on site for Bridal party and Groomsmen preparations.

The Bridal Chapel of Door County can comfortably seat up to 100 guests. They can provide a non-denominational minister, decorations and music (songs of your choice) or you can provide your own officiant, etc. Outdoor weddings are also an option with a very lovely waterfront reception site available.

Intimate or extravagant, large or small, they set the stage for a truly memorable event. From your wedding shower and rehearsal dinner to the ceremony and reception, their expert wedding specialists can assist you in planning the details every step of the way.
The North Woods Room is perfect for rehearsal dinners, small weddings, baby showers and bridal showers and accommodates 30- 100 people including audio-visual equipment with LCD projector and screen.
The South Room, which is The Log Den’s largest area, can accommodate almost any event and serves 75 – 175 people. It has many windows, including a sunroom area. Audio-visual equipment includes a LCD projector and screen.
Various Door County parks may be reserved (but not closed to the public) for weddings, reunions, birthdays, private and company picnics.
Some, like Cave Point, have structures and areas suitable for staging a wedding. You may make a reservation to use them for a specific date. Once on the Door County Parks website, click on Reservations of Parks, Shelters/Facilities or call or email the Door County Parks Department. All reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and are nonrefundable.
The fee for use of the Gazebo at Cave Point is $75 per day.
The Boynton Chapel is a small wooden chapel built in a late 12th-century Norwegian stave church (stavkirke) style. Handcrafted by Winifred and Donald Boynton between 1939 and 1947 on the grounds of their summer residence, the chapel is modeled after the Garmo stave church at Maihaugen in Lillehammer, Norway. A popular site for weddings and a favorite stop among Door County tourists, the chapel contains 41 hand-painted frescoes and numerous exceptionally fine carved-wood furnishings.
The chapel is a seasonal building, so although it is available year-round, the temperature inside the building is the same as the temperature outside. The chapel accommodates 36 people sitting in pews. The lighting of candles or use of electric equipment (i.e. space heaters) is not allowed in the chapel. Battery operated candles and boom boxes are permitted.
Lawrence University’s fee for the use of the Björklunden chapel is $425. This fee is for use of the chapel only; there are no facilities for dressing, handling groups if it rains, or public restrooms. There is a two-hour time limit that must be strictly adhered to, as we often have multiple services on the same day.

A beautiful organic farm featuring herbs, veggies, eggs and weddings. About Thyme is a private property and is shown only by appointment. Maximum capacity in the barn is 250, maximum capacity for a sit down dinner is 200 guests. Events must end by 11 pm.

The home and grounds of Jim and Carole Maronek in Ellison Bay, is a collection of antique buildings set within 15 acres of woods and meadows, unified by a Russian theme (Carole’s parents were from Byelorussia) – an exquisite spot for a distinctive and memorable Door County wedding.
The centerpiece is their barn, built in 1998 and registered as “Ellison Wonderland, LLC” itself a collection of reclaimed barns and salvaged materials. The surrounding gardens and outdoor artwork are exquisite. They each represent the passion of Carole and jim, respectively. Jim came to Door County after a successful career as set designer for Chicago’s Goodman Theater and he has not stopped creating sets and settings, wall murals and sculpture. Carole’s plants and gardens are a living work of art. The public is welcome to visit during regular gallery hours and the Maronek’s offer the cottages for rent as well as their reception barn.

Together they help couples create meaningful ceremonies both traditional and non-traditional at their wedding venue, Music of the Lake. In case of rain, an inside space by one of the Lake Michigan stone fireplaces will accommodate smaller weddings.
