Gustave’s Getaway is a completely restored historic Door County log cabin that is situated on 80 acres of its original farmstead.
This Door County log cabin was built in 1887 by Annie Miller’s great grandfather using timber native to Door County. It has been home to four generations of Millers. Located on a quiet country road, it is centrally located to the northern Door County communities of Baileys Harbor, Sister Bay, Ephraim, and Fish Creek and minutes from the shores of Green Bay and Lake Michigan.
The Miller family invites you to step back in time to enjoy Door County’s historic past first hand. Our historic home sleeps 6, has full cooking facilities, and all linens are supplied. Our country estate beckons you to its old growth forest trails, flowered meadows, rolling hills and abundance of wildlife. The Bridal Chapel of Door County can comfortably seat up to 100 guests. They can provide a non-denominational minister, decorations and music (songs of your choice) or you can provide your own officiant, etc. Outdoor weddings are also an option with a very lovely waterfront reception site available.
Owner, Donna Streckenbach has been a wedding consultant for more than 35 years and thoroughly enjoys helping each bride and groom plan their most special day to make it an everlasting, beautiful memory! Woodwalk Gallery features a soaring setting that is centered in an 1890’s revitalized Door County barn. It houses an art gallery and a reception hall, located in a quiet setting, ¾ mile off the main Highway 42, north of Carlsville. Washington Island is a beautiful location for a wedding, and the Scandinavian Stavkirke Church constructed based on a 12th century Stavkirke in Borgund, Norway, is a wonderfully unique setting for a wedding.
If your wedding will be attended by more than 38, wedding party and guests can be accommodated in Trinity Lutheran, the main church which is located across the street. The pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church is also pastor of the Stavkirke and is responsible for presiding at all worship services, weddings and baptisms. Visiting clergy may assist at the sole discretion of the Trinity pastor.

The home and grounds of Jim and Carole Maronek in Ellison Bay, is a collection of antique buildings set within 15 acres of woods and meadows, unified by a Russian theme (Carole’s parents were from Byelorussia) – an exquisite spot for a distinctive and memorable Door County wedding.
The centerpiece is their barn, built in 1998 and registered as “Ellison Wonderland, LLC” itself a collection of reclaimed barns and salvaged materials. The surrounding gardens and outdoor artwork are exquisite. They each represent the passion of Carole and jim, respectively. Jim came to Door County after a successful career as set designer for Chicago’s Goodman Theater and he has not stopped creating sets and settings, wall murals and sculpture. Carole’s plants and gardens are a living work of art. The public is welcome to visit during regular gallery hours and the Maronek’s offer the cottages for rent as well as their reception barn.

The Chapel is available for rental along with several other optional buildings. The Chapel seats 40-50 people and the fee for weddings is $250. Additional fees are as follows:

Setting up a tent – $50/tent

As the new owner of the Hillside, it is Diane Taillon‘s primary focus to find new and creative ways to open this classic inn to tourists and residents alike as a true boutique hotel. The Inn features five beautiful suites (four with water views) plus two cottages with fireplaces and elegant bathrooms. The luxurious Hillside Inn of Ephraim, located in the heart of one of Door County’s most picturesque villages, reopened in January, 2016 after a complete renovation. Careful attention was paid to preserving the original integrity and simplicity of this white-painted landmark, one that has welcomed travelers to Door County since the late 1800’s.

There are three different wedding reception locations at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club which include the Main Clubhouse with seating for 200, the Beach Club dining room with seating for 70 and the Beach Club lawn for an outdoor, tented reception with seating for 350. The Main Clubhouse site fee ranges from $1,500 to $6,000 while the Beach Club facility site fee is based by guest count, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500.
Horseshoe Bay Golf Club provides all food and beverage preparation and service. No outside caterers or beverage services are allowed without written permission from the Food and Beverage Manager excluding wedding cakes, cake pops, sweets and cupcakes. Seated dinner service ranges from $26 to $38 per person which includes choice of salad and dinner rolls while buffet dinner service ranges from $28 to $37 per person.
