Kastner has been writing and creating grassroots marketing materials for more than 40 years, including his recent book, “6 Steps to a Social Business.” He continues today as a Door County resident film maker and social media marketing consultant. Kastner is also founder of Social Media Breakfast Door County, a meetup that takes place on the third Wednesday of each month to network and strategize.

This session will cover some of the strategies and best practices to get the most out of your social media activities, including time management and measuring the return of your activities.

We will talk about what social media marketing really is, how to incorporate it into your business life without losing productivity and look at how other businesses are using these low-cost tools to gain visibility, develop relationships and drive sales and response. We will discuss the various social media outlets that are available, how they interact together and ways to leverage their inherent strengths and to evaluate them for best use for your business or organization.

Stephen Kastner will provide a live Twitterfall that permits active audience engagement as ongoing Tweet comments are projected on a display screen – so bring your laptops and smartphones. Kastner will discuss how Websites must now make the shift from passive to dynamic, by generating and sharing content and delivering that content in a format that is mobile-friendly. He will demonstrate QR Codes and explain why every businesses should start to use them to couple their online and display advertising.
