WELLNESS: Neighbor-to-Neighbor Recipient of Door Community Foundation Grant; Shepherd of the Bay Presents “What Happens When Things Don’t go as planned?”

The Door County Community Foundation, Inc. has awarded a grant of $1,000 to Neighbor-to-Neighbor Volunteer Caregivers to support their Medical Equipment Loan Program and Volunteer Peer Companions.

Neighbor-to-Neighbor is a non-profit organization that oversees four programs:

  • peer companions,
  • respite care for primary caregivers,
  • medical equipment loans for people of all ages who experience a temporary or long-term disability, and
  • The Lemonade Club, a cancer survivor support group.

“What Happens When Things Don’t go as planned?”

The Health & Wellness Cabinet Ministry of Shepherd of the Bay Lutheran Church in Ellison Bay will present the third in it’s series about End of Life Decisions. It will take place at the church at 4 pm on Sunday, June 27. The presenter will be registered nurse Christine Wehrs, who will address the question of “What Happens When Things Don’t go as planned?”

Christine  will give tips to avoid  problems for those trying to follow your health care directives. Come and bring your friends to this free presentation.
