Door Shakespeare Staging “Macbeth” and “Love’s Labours Lost” in the Garden at Bjorklunden for its 2013 Summer Season

For the first time in Door Shakespeare’s history, the company will present William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and “Love’s Labours Lost” in the Garden at Bjorklunden for its 2013 summer season.

“Macbeth and Love’s Labours Lost are contrasting works filled with romance, violence, villains, fools, heroines, sword fights, and poetry…there really is something for everyone,” says Managing Director Amy J. Ludwigsen. “We hope the season will both delight and challenge our audience with plays that are brilliant and brutal and are now assembling a creative team of directors, designers, and artistic associates to make the 2013 season as fresh and innovative as possible. We are also looking at ways to make Door Shakespeare a more desirable destination for our patrons by actively planning physical improvements to the performance space and more programming to enrich the experience of attending the productions, including pre-show discussions with scholars, directors, designers, and members of the cast.”

Door Shakespeare’s 2013 season, featuring William Shakespeare’s “Macbeth” and “Love’s Labours Lost,” is scheduled to run from July 5 to August 18 in the Garden at Bjorklunden.
