Kapfamer One-day Plein Air Workshop at Charlene’s Gallery Ten, July 9

Join Gallery Ten Artist Ray Kapfamer on Saturday, July 9 for a one-day, plein air workshop, held outdoors at the gallery in Gills Rock, painting Charlene’s woods.

Ray will start off the landscape painting workshop with a demonstration of the contemporary approach which he practices. Pastels and oils will be used to demonstrate his approach to the use of color, value and materials to create energetic and colorful landscape paintings. Then, participants well set out to seek inspiration by working directly from nature, finding a scene they wish to capture and beginning their work in plein air.

After a lunch break, Ray will personally work with each individual artist, guiding them in painting outdoors at the gallery. The workshop begins at 9 am on Saturday, July 9 and lasts until 4 pm. The cost is $75 for the entire day and includes lunch.
