Door County’s Third Avenue Playhouse Poses Matching Funds Challenge Through June

Third Avenue Playhouse is excited to announce that it is the recipient of a $25,000 matching funds gift.

In recognition of the theater’s 10th anniversary, a longstanding donor will match dollar for dollar up to $25,000, contributions to TAP’s general fund. The challenge, titled Dreams for the Next Decade will run from January 15 – June 30.

“This is a tremendous opportunity to use our grassroots support to leverage significant dollars,” notes Henry Timm, TAP’s current board president. “As we have proved with our previous fundraising efforts, many small donations, when joined together, can move mountains.”

“That this opportunity comes as we enter our 10th season is particularly significant,” adds Judy Drew, Executive Director. “It represents not only a celebration but also a recognition of TAP’s value to the community. We hope that members of the community will support our donor’s generous effort to strengthen our organization as it moves into its second decade.”

The organization is asking for contributions of $25 or more to help the campaign reach its goal over the next 6 months.

“Remember,” says Timm, “this is a matching funds challenge and so every dollar contributed is worth twice as much.”

Donations can be sent to Third Avenue Playhouse, PO Box 843, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54235. To make a contribution using MasterCard, Visa or Discover, call the theater box office at 920-743-1760. A PayPal feature is also available on the theater’s website, www.ThirdAvenuePlayhouse.com .
