The traditional porcelain, oils, graphite renderings and watercolors are now matched with daring new creations in unusual media like wisteria vine, sea glass, Wyoming red granite, Black Hills shale, Montana quartz and red oyster dogwood. A diverse collection of fiber works, executed in waxed linen, cheesecloth, hog casein, snakeskin, horse hair, silk, Peruvian wool and yarns from Croatia, England, Switzerland, Italy, France, Uruguay, Wales and Spain now grace the gallery walls.

All must be ready for the official Gallery Ten spring opening day on Saturday, May 2. This season, a total of eleven individual artists will be featured in solo shows with the first of five individual artist receptions welcoming a mother and daughter duo on Saturday, May 23 (Memorial Day weekend). The Ninth Annual Gills Rock outdoor Artfest is scheduled for September 5 – 6, with artists at work all around the Gallery grounds.

While not yet featured in solo shows, artists like Indiana potter Zach Medler and mixed-media sculptor Sherri Trial among many others, bring a wonderful, fresh new look to the ever-changing and diverse collection on exhibit through the end of October.

With more than ten years in Gills Rock and twenty years representing artists, Charlene Berg reaches across the nation and around the world to bring unique and original works from all of the Midwestern states, as well as Florida, Pennsylvania, Missouri, Iowa, Colorado and Hawaii. She also features pottery and jewelry from Ecuador and Guatemala.
